Amazon’s New Fire HD 8 Tablet Comes with Android Nougat

Amazon’s Fire tablets are among the best Android tablets in the world. The best aspect of these tablets is the price; The Fire HD 8 only costs $79.99.

They have decent software and remarkable features. The specs are nothing special here, but if you’re looking for a cheap Android tablet to tinker with, the Fire HD 8 looks decent and it accesses a wide variety of books, movies, TV shows, and more from Amazon.

These tablets are more useful if you live in Amazon’s ecosystem, but if you’re looking for a more Android-like experience, they might not fulfill the needs. Thankfully, it’s not too difficult to get the Google Play Store up and running on the new Amazon Fire HD 8. The new model from Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet was announced today with improved features. The main assets are still the same as the last year’s model: quad-core 1.3 GHz processor, 1280 x 800 display of 8 inch, expandable storage and 1.5 GB RAM.

Adaptable storage is now present and Doze will help improve battery life. The tablet is shipping with Fire OS 6, which is based on Android Nougat, and was originally launched on the Fire TV.

In order to be able to get the Play Store on the brand new Fire HD 8, which is based on Android Nougat, four things need to be installed: Google Services Framework, Google Account Manager, Google Play Services, and Google Play Store. So far this method is working as well for installing apps.

Amazon advises the real estate developers to try not to use Google services on Amazon Fire Tablets and to try using Amazon’s Apps & Games Services SDKs as it gets better results.
