iOS 12.0.1 Causes Issues with Network and Signal Connectivity

When the problem with the charging of iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max that occurred on iOS 12 was solved with an update, the users were hoping that the new version of iOS, 12.0.1, will not bring more issues than its predecessor. Unfortunately, many iPhone owners now face problems with the connectivity, such as network and signal issues, broken calls, as well as issues affecting the battery life.

iOS 12.0.1 was expected to fix bugs in iOS 12

In order to fix the bugs that were creating various problems on the new iPhones, Apple released iOS 12.0.1, which was rolled out as a software update. Amongst the issues that were addressed with this release were problems with charging the new smartphones using a lightning cable, missing subtitles in video apps and unavailability of Bluetooth.

Problems with iMessage on iOS 12

Another issue that Apple wanted to fix with iOS 12.0.1 was a huge problem with iMessage, which was sending messages to wrong and multiple recipients. According to a report by Forbes, “Apple has been telling users that iMessage accidentally sending messages to wrong people is actually a feature for iOS 12 and that it is happening because Apple is now organizing all contacts by Apple ID, so if family members or friends share an ID now all these messages are shared simultaneously with everyone who has that ID.”

iOS 12.0.1 brings even more issues

The iOS version 12.0.1 was released for fixing all these bugs, but unfortunately it has brought a completely different set of issues. Forbes reported on Friday that “since upgrading, owners of both new and old iPhones are finding their phones either don’t make or receive calls. Bluetooth connectivity, Wi-Fi and battery-related issues are again surfacing on an iOS generation which Apple has promoted as being all about efficiency, stability and speed.” In order to see what Apple’s reaction will be, we will most likely have to wait a little bit longer.
