GTA 6 – The Latest Rumors Surrounding this Highly Anticipated Game

Considering the great success of GTA 5, which earned more than $6 billion for Rockstar Games in the past 5 years, it is not a surprise that its next installment, GTA 6, tops the wishlists of most gamers. However, the upcoming release of Red Dead Redemption 2 on October 26th and the regular additions of new content to GTA 5 mean that we should not expect to see GTA 6 making its debut anytime soon.

Rockstar Games with focus on GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2

It goes without saying that Rockstar Games will not sabotage GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 by releasing GTA 6 and forcing these titles to compete against each other. Moreover, with other games, such as Spider-man or Darksiders III, at the top of their popularity, it would be a rather bad idea to increase the number of opponents for GTA 5 and RDR 2.

The possible release date of GTA 6

When it comes to the possible release date of GTA 6, it is predicted that this title should make its debut somewhere between 2020 and 2022. Of course, these are just speculations, as Rockstar Games has been silent so far regarding GTA 6, but knowing how much time it takes for them to develop their games, this timeframe sounds about right. Moreover, since the next generation of consoles should be ready for release after 2020, it just makes sense for GTA 6 to be fully compatible with the new systems.

The introduction of South America

According to some rumors, GTA 6 will introduce some locations in South America, to which players can travel in order to accomplish certain missions. Apparently, the development of the game has been already started by Rockstar Games and the codename of GTA 6 during this process is “Project Americas”.
