Fallout 76 for Nintendo Switch Is Not “Doable,” Says Bethesda

Bethesda is one of the most significant supporters of the Nintendo Switch as the majority of the recent releases of the renowned company reached the Japanese console. However, that cycle ended with Fallout 76, for the moment, as Pete Hines of Bethesda deemed its newly released title as not “doable” for Nintendo Switch.

According to Pete Hines, Bethesda considers Nintendo Switch for every release but to make it work depends on various factors.

“The Switch is something I can say with certainty that it’s a part of every conversation with every dev we have now about what we’re doing going forward because we consider it to be a viable platform,” said Pete Hines.

“If the game will work on it, we want it to be on every platform possible. Fallout 76 is not because it just wasn’t doable. But honestly, there is no game in development that we haven’t had a conversation about bringing it to Switch,” Hines added.

Fallout 76 for Nintendo Switch Is Not “Doable,” Says Pete Hines of Bethesda

As we can see, Bethesda is always considering releasing its titles to the Nintendo Switch console, as well. However, not every game the renowned company produces is suitable for the Japanese video games console.

“I enjoy us being seen as the third-party leader in terms of supporting Switch. People go, ‘Hey, you’ve got a lot more stuff on Switch than this publisher or that publisher.’ That’s what I want Bethesda to be known as. We’re guys who will take some risks,” Pete Hines also said.

In short, Fallout 76 for Nintendo Switch was not doable, so we won’t see this title running on the Japanese company’s console. However, Pete Hines admitted that others of the Bethesda’s titles would reach Nintendo Switch. Among them, Hines highlighted “the next Wolfenstein” game (Wolfenstein: Young Blood), Doom Eternal, and The Elder Scrolls Legends.
