Nokia 6.1 Plus Download and Install Android 9 Pie Update

Nokia 6.1 Plus is actually a very good smartphone when it comes to its price. It may not have the best specs for this price, as it has a stock Android experience that fills the gaps.

We’ve written this article to give you some tips on how to install the Nokia 6.1 Plus Android 9 Pie update.

Before you start this process, you need to make sure that you have more than 30%  battery or simply connect it to a power source, so you’d make sure your battery won’t die during the process.

Use system update

This is the easiest method to install the update. You need to download the OTA zip file, then rename the downloaded file to DRG-330B-0-00WW-B01-update.zip. Please do not skip this step. Then, place the .zip file in the root folder of the device, open the dialer app and dial *#*#874#*#*  in order to activate the system option for the OTA update. When finished, restart your smartphone.

Use ADB

This one can be quite difficult for some. First of all, you need to install ADB and the fastboot driver. Download the OTA zip file into your PC, then move it to the same place you’ve installed ABD and the fastboot driver. Then you need to press and hold Shift key + right-click. Then select Open PowerShell window here’. After this, you need to turn off your device.

Now you need to boot the device into the recovery mode – for this, press and hold down the Power Key and Volume Down Key. When you see the logo of Nokia, let go of the Power Key, but keep pressing the Volume Down Key until it’s in recovery mode. Look for the option ‘Apply update from ADB’ and select it.

Now, connect the phone to the PC by using a USB cable. Enter the command adb devices to see its connection status, then enter the command adb sideload DRG-330B-0-00WW-B01-update.zip. after the installation process is done, go back to the recovery menu and select the ‘Reboot system now’ to restart the device.
