OnePlus phones are attracting more and more users. That is because the company offers reliable devices which can rival those of companies such as Samsung. More than that, software updates reach users relatively fast.
If you are not sure how to update your OnePlus device, today we are going to show you how to do it. It is very simple to do it, and you should be done with it in just a couple of minutes. In this article we will show you how to update the OnePlus 6, but the same steps can be used for other OnePlus devices as well.
The OnePlus 6 is no longer found on the OnePlus site, but you can still get the newer 6T model. The device comes with the OnePlus customizable Oxygen OS interface.
Installing the software update
First of all, you need to open the Settings app. Once you do this you should see whether there is an update available as it will show up at the top of the list. If you don’t see it you can check whether there is an update by tapping System updates. Then tap Check for updates.
If you see an update you can tap Download & install now. When the download is completed you can tap Reboot. Now you need to wait until your phone is done rebooting, and once that is done it will have the last software version from OnePlus.
It is also possible that the phone will continue updating in the background. If that is the case you should see a progress bar in the notification shade. This means that you will be able to use the phone while the update is installing and you will know when the process is complete.
