Epic Games already sent some invitations to content creators to participate in a private testing event in Los Angeles, which would focus on the upcoming spectator mode in Fortnite. Until now, the so-called Join As Player spectator mode was only a rumored feature that should come to the most popular Battle Royale title soon. Now, it became official.
“Are you interested in joining Epic Games for an exclusive Fortnite private testing session in Los Angeles, California? If selected, you’ll be playing custom matches to help us test unreleased spectating features and tools that will be used in future events. As a token of our appreciation, Epic will provide free food and V-Bucks for your help with improving our tools,” read the invitations Epic Games sent out.
The testing stages for the new spectator mode in Fortnite would be held in the following days:
- Monday, February 4th – 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Tuesday, February 5th – 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Wednesday, February 6th – 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Thursday, February 7th – 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday, February 8th – 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Monday, February 11th – 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Tuesday, February 12th – 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Fortnite Would Get “Spectator Mode”
According to Fortnite Intel, one of the Fortnite news portals, only the gamers based in Los Angeles and the vicinity of the American metropolis would get invitations from Epic Games to test the new Fortnite spectator mode, Join As Player.
Besides the new spectator mode in Fortnite, Epic Games also plans to add a few other features and tools, even though we don’t know more about what Epic Games would come up with. Rumors about the addition of this new mode, called Join As Player, already emerged on the Internet before Epic Games confirmed it by sending the invitations to the Fortnite players and content creators.
In short, a new spectator mode in Fortnite would come to the game soon, as Epic Games will hold a testing event in Los Angeles, during the first week of February.
