Pokemon Go Community Day: February Brings Swinub and Shiny Swinub

As we have all been accustomed to the Community Day in Pokémon Go, each month will feature a new Pokemon ready to be caught in its normal and Shiny version. Let us check out the February Community Day event, rewards, and the schedule.

Pokemon Go Community Day – 16 February

Niantic has announced the day for the event: February 16, Saturday. You will be able to encounter Swinub which is and ice and ground type Pokémon. Looking back to the previous Community Days, we should also expect to see and catch Shiny Swinub. Swinub will appear more often in the wild during the three hours of the event.

In addition, if you evolve Swinub in its last form – Mamoswine, up to an hour after the event ends, it will learn a new exclusive move which Ninatic hasn’t revealed yet.

To get Mamoswine in Pokemon Go, you need to get an evolutionary item called the Sinnoh Stone. You can get it from Trainer Battles, or during Community Day. According to Niantic, a player can get up to five Sinnoh Stones through battles with other players. During the Community Day weekend, you will also get up to five rewards per day if you participate in Trainer Battles.

During Community Day you will receive three times more Stardust and Lure Modules that you use will be active for three hours instead of the usual 30 minutes, making it easier to find Swinub either in normal or shiny form.
