When I heard about Epic Games opening another store, I was asking myself ‘should I install the launcher and see what they offer? Should I just stick with Steam?’ I made up my mind easily, thinking it won’t hurt to have more options and offers, so I installed the launcher, and I’m not sorry at all!
Axiom Verge Free on Epic Games Store
Now let us go to Axiom Verge, which is a throwback Metroidvania title you must try just for old time’s sake. The game was launched in 2015 and is available now on PS4, PC, MAC, Linux, Vita, Wii U, Xbox One and Switch.
Since Happ’s take on the Metroidvania genre got famous, more games like Dead Cells or Hollow Knight showed up on the market, each offering new and different experiences. But the most retro Metroidvania game is Axiom Verge with the 16-bit look, storyline, and feel altogether.
Epic Games Store’s revenue share seems to be luring more and more developers, both indie and large game studios like Ubisoft, which will exclusively launch Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 on Epic Store.
You can grab Axiom Verge beginning with 7 February, until 21 February.
Free Games in the Epic Games Store
Epic Games Store came with interesting games available and announced for the future, but they also offer free games, like ‘What Remains of Edith Finch,’ which I grabbed it as soon as possible because it’s awesome and I cannot wait to play it.
They also have ‘the jackbox Party Pack,’ which is perfect for spending a day with your friends, fooling around with their entertaining mini-games. I played them and totally recommend it, plus it is free! If you are hooked, they have many more Party Pack series to offer. Grab the free Party Pack until the offer ends on 7 February!
All you have to do is click on the free game, redeem the game from the purchase page, and the game goes to your library from where you can install it anytime you want to.
Keep your eyes peeled for more free games from Epic Games!
