Apex Legends Might Get A Mobile Version and Cross-Platform Play Support

Apex Legends is the newest Battle Royale game. For the moment, Apex Legends, a title based on the universe of Titanfall and developed by Respawn Entertainment, the same games studio behind the Titanfall franchise, is available on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Now, Electronic Arts, the game’s publisher, is looking into a mobile version of Apex Legends and cross-platform play support.

As appeared in the transcription of an EA conference on the company’s earning, obtained by The Motley Fool portal, EA CEO Andrew Wilson confirmed the rumors that the company is thinking to add cross-platform play support to Apex Legends.

“As I said earlier, we are looking at how to take the game to mobile and cross-play over time, and I also expect that this game will have tremendous value in Asia, and we’re in conversations about that,” said Andrew Wilson.

Apex Legends Might Get A Mobile Version and Cross-Platform Play Support

Also, Apex Legends might get a mobile version, too, besides cross-platform play support. That means Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts are planning to make Apex Legends become the fiercest competitor for PUBG and Fortnite.

At the moment, Fortnite is the most popular and appreciated Battle Royale game, with PUBG coming in the second place. Besides these two titles, there are not any other Battle Royale titles that please the fans of the genre. Apex Legends, however, might become the third greatest Battle Royale game in the world. But Respawn Entertainment and EA plan to make Apex Legends the best Battle Royale title out there, and they might do that, eventually.

But to make Apex Legends “fight” with PUBG and Fortnite, the developers have to come up with a reliable mobile version of the game. Also, cross-platform play support is trendy now, so Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts have to add it to Apex Legends as soon as possible, too.
