Mortal Kombat is the most popular and top-rated fighting game ever. Many Mortal Kombat titles have been launched since the release of the first game in the franchise, back in 1992. Now, we’re just months apart from the launch of the next game in the series, Mortal Kombat 11. From the new gameplay trailer, we learned that Kabal and D’Vorah would come to Mortal Kombat 11, too.
Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon confirmed that Kabal is just one of the few fan-favorite Mortal Kombat fighters that would be present in Mortal Kombat 11. In the new gameplay trailer, we could watch Kabal performing some of his special moves and one of his fatalities. Ed Boon announced the return of Kabal before showing the gameplay trailer by saying that the next character would “freak out” people when they see it.
Next, during the Inside Xbox stream, Ed Boon also confirmed the return of a Mortal Kombat X fighter.
Mortal Kombat 11 New Gameplay Trailer Revealed Kabal and D’Vorah
Besides the comeback of Kabal, D’Vorah, a character which showed up first in Mortal Kombat X (the latest title in the franchise, currently), would also return in Mortal Kombat 11. Even though we don’t know much about her and NetherRealm Studios did not release anything about her so far, we know something on D’Vorah thanks to Mortal Kombat X.
“As a female member of the Kytinn species, she lives in Outworld and serves as Kotal Kahn’s first minister. D’Vorah is a Kytinn, a species of colonial insects living inside humanoid bodies. Hailing from the Arnyek islands, D’Vorah’s realm was conquered by Shao Kahn, and she chose to serve the emperor to avoid becoming a slave,” reads the D’Vorah’s description on Mortal Kombat Wiki.
Mortal Kombat 11, a game announced at The Game Awards and officially unveiled on January 23rd, would come out on April 23rd, 2019, on Nintendo Switch, Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4.
