The Internet went crazy when a petition to add Shaggy as a DLC in Mortal Kombat 11 gained traction and hit over 340,000 signatures from Mortal Kombat fans from all over the world. Even more, when Ed Boon posted an image on his Twitter account, showing Shaggy in a fight against Scorpion, many believed that was a hint. But, luckily for some, NetherRealm won’t add Shaggy to the MK11, disappointing some of the game’s fans.
NetherRealm Won’t Add Shaggy To Mortal Kombat 11
When asked “Will Shaggy be in Mortal Kombat 11?” the Mortal Kombat 11’s community manager Tyler Lansdown replied that “Shaggy will not be in the game. At all. Ever. Sorry, dead meme.”
Also, the official Twitter page of Mortal Kombat 11 posted “#RIP Shaggy!” suggesting, once and for good, that the famous cartoon character from the popular Scooby-Doo series won’t come to Mortal Kombat 11.
But there are other reputable fighters from Mortal Kombat franchise that the fans of the game would like to see in Mortal Kombat 11.
Mortal Kombat 11 Roster and Release Date
So far, we really don’t know all the fighters that would be included in the upcoming Mortal Kombat 11. At the moment, we know for sure that Baraka, D’Vorah, Geras, Kabal, Kano, Scorpion, Skarlet, Sonya Blade, Sub-Zero, and Raiden would be in the game.
Besides them, other fighters such as Cassie Cage, Kronika, Kitana, Kung Lao, and Liu Kang showed up in cutscenes, while Shao Kahn would come as a pre-order bonus character.
Therefore, there would be many other fighters from the Mortal Kombat series that the fans would love to see in the game. Reptile, Sektor, Cyrax, Noob Saibot, and Smoke, just to mention a few, have been the fan-favorite characters of the precedent titles of the franchise.
Mortal Kombat 11 would come out on April 23rd, 2019, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.
