Mortal Kombat 11 Roster Update: Jade Would Also Be Present In The Game

As we’re moving closer to Mortal Kombat 11 release date, scheduled for April 23rd, 2019, NetherRealm Studios is revealing more and more about the game, especially about the roster. In the most recent Mortal Kombat 11 roster update, the devs announced that Jade would also be present in the future fighting game.

Jade is one of the fans-favorite female characters in the Mortal Kombat franchise. She appeared for the first time in Mortal Kombat 2, as a secret, unplayable fighter. She then became a fully playable character in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, and, since then, she hasn’t missed from the series with a few exceptions.

Mortal Kombat 11 Roster Update: Jade Would Be Present In Mortal Kombat 11 With A New Appearance

Her story goes like this, as per Mortal Kombat Fandom: “Jade is a childhood friend of Princess Kitana. While her motives were unclear, she served Shao Kahn alongside Kitana and Mileena as his personal assassin for most of her life. When Kitana finally turned against Shao Kahn, Jade was ordered to capture her for the Emperor. She ultimately chose to join her friend and has since loyally assisted Kitana in her quest to free their native realm and restore its original beauty. Now residing in the freed Edenia, Jade is a General of the Edenian Army and continues to serve Kitana and her mother Sindel dutifully.”

In Mortal Kombat 2011 Jade was disemboweled by Sindel, but Quan Chi revived an enslaved her. That leads us to the new appearance Jade shows in Mortal Kombat 11. According to the trailer released by NetherRealm Studios, Jade looks like a sort of a zombie, with red eyes and greyish skin. She, as usual, is wearing her famous green and gold outfit and poses with her favorite weapon, the staff.

“Did you miss her? The ultimate stealth assassin [Jade] makes her triumphant return in Mortal Kombat 11,” NeatherRealm reported on MK 11 Twitter page.
