Marvelous confirmed the launch of Rune Factory 4 Special on Nintendo Switch in 2019. According to the company, Rune Factory 5 would come up next, in 2020.

Rune Factory 4 is a Nintendo 3DS role-playing video game designed by Neverland Co and published by Marvelous AQL. However, the Rune Factory 4 Special version that would come out on Nintendo Switch later this year would be a remaster of the original title.

As for the original Rune Factory 4, the title launched in Japan in 2012 for Nintendo 3DS. The game reached North America in 2013 and the rest of the world in 2014. Rune Factory 4 was well-received by both the gamers and the critics, and it obtained high rates such as 8 out of 10 from IGN and Destructoid, while Gameinformer rated it with only 7 out of 10.

Rune Factory 5 Would Launch for Nintendo Switch in 2020

Following Rune Factory 4, Rune Factory 5 would come to Nintendo Switch in 2020. Rune Factory 5 will be a new title in the series. Currently under development, this future game in the Rune Factory franchise would also be on the same line as Rune Factory 4.
