Samsung is rolling out the Note 8 Pie update with New Improvements

The development process for the Note 8 Pie update was quite long, with four separate beta version being available before a stable version was ready. Samsung has released the update for Note 8 devices located in Eastern Europe and interested owners are able to start the OTA update.

The company seems to have changed its mind when it comes to updates. A recent release of the January security update for the aging Samsung Galaxy S6 hints that the support for older models may be improved in the future.

The Pie update is quite heavy, demanding 1.9 GB of space. The size is influenced by the fact that Samsung is pushing a new launcher in the form of the futuristic One UI. The February security patch is also present, as Samsung aims hit two birds with one stone.

Screenshots in which an update notification is clearly visible are already present on the internet. The update should be released around the world in the following days but a controlled schedule allows the company to prevent and correct any potential issues that may appear during the process.

Samsung is currently going through an intense period. The next Samsung Galaxy flagship will be revealed on February 20 during a special Samsung Unpacked event. The device will mark the ten-year anniversary of the Galaxy line and many fans are looking forward to a revolutionary smartphone.

It is expected that the S10 will make use of bleeding edge technology in order to stand apart in the vast sea of Android flagships. The most anticipated feature is represented by the possible inclusion of the first 3D ultrasonic finger print sensor. The sensor was developed by Qualcomm and the manufacturer promises a high-performance security solution.

The One UI update will bring a refreshed user interface and the addition of several Android Pie features that will improve the usage experience. An official changelog is available on Samsung’s website.
