iPhone XS and XS Max: We Bet You Didn’t Know You Could Do This!

We’ve written this article to give you some tips and tricks when it comes to using iPhone XS and XS Max.

Unlocking the device

If these are the first phones you use, that don’t have the Home button, you will spend some time to understand how the devices work. You will need to make the most out of gestures – swipe right from the home bar to unlock the screen – it’s very easy.

Creating Memoji or Animoji

If you have a phone that comes with Face ID, that this means that you can use Memoji and Animoji. You will need to go to Messages and Conversation and press on the monkey icon. This is how you add a Memoji or play around with Animoji.

Befriending Siri

Remember, you don’t have the Home Button in these devices, which means that you have to hold the side button in order to launch Siri. When the phone is listening to you to, you just need to say hello to Siri. If you want to change this, you can go to Settings and turn off Listen for the Hey Siri switch.

Seeing screen time

iOS 12 made sure that users don’t lose time with their phones more than they should, with introducing Screen Time. You need to go to Settings and then to Screen Time to see how much you’ve used the phone and which apps consume your time. You can even set limits.

Getting to control center

It’s easier than ever – all you have to do is swipe down from the right edge.

Getting notified and paying with Apple Pay

If you want to get access to Apple Pay, you need to tap on the side button then just pay in the App Store. To get to the notification center, just swipe down from the notch.
