I guess nobody imagined another Mortal Kombat game without Johnny Cage one of the fan-favorite characters of the most famous fighting game franchise in the world. And, as expected and as teased by Ed Boon in early-February, Johnny Cage will also be present in Mortal Kombat 11. NetherRealm Studios decided to reveal the character in a new brutal trailer.
Mortal Kombat 11 will come out on April 23rd for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Microsoft Windows.
“Mortal Kombat is back and better than ever in the next evolution of the iconic franchise. The all-new Custom Character Variations give you unprecedented control to customize the fighters and make them your own (…) And featuring a roster of new and returning Klassic Fighters, Mortal Kombat’s best in class cinematic story mode continues the epic saga over 25 years in the making,” the game’s description on Steam reads.
Up till now, NeatherRealm Studios revealed a whole bunch of characters that would come to Mortal Kombat 11, including Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Sonya Blade, Jade, Baraka, Kabal, Raiden, a new fighter called Geras, and many others.

Johnny Cage, the Hollywood star with funny lines and lots of special moves, is back in the fight in Mortal Kombat 11 and he looks better and more powerful than ever, and even with a couple of new abilities.
But that’s not all, as today is the Kombat Kast day, so NetherRealm Studios will most likely reveal another character, besides Johnny Cage. In reality, there is a dozen more fighter that the Mortal Kombat franchise’s fans would love to see in Mortal Kombat 11. Reptile, Smoke, and many others might come to the game, eventually.
“We LOVE how passionate MK fans are to see their favorite fighters return. Please don’t stop that,” said director Ed Boon. “But remember, each announcement, doesn’t mean your favorite isn’t in the game. Be patient, SO many ‘soon to be konfirmed’ classic fighter announcements koming!”
