Some time ago, Atlus made an announcement about a better version of Persona 5, that’s called Persona 5 R. they’ve promised more details to come out this month. We didn’t hear anything since the first announcement, but there are some rumors that show the game not to be only released for PS4, but for Nintendo Switch, too.
Persona 5 S, not Persona 5 R
A Twitter user named Mr. Ohya, is known for leaking all the pieces of news about Persona. The user claimed that Persona 5 R will be released on Switch and PS4 in autumn, but that it will come under another name – Persona 5 S.
We hoped Mr. Ohya would reveal some other details, too, however, that did not happen. So we’re left with the question.
What will the game have special for us?
Person 5 fans shouldn’t believe that this is the entire truth yet because we still don’t have an official statement. However, this is not the first time we’ve heard that Persona 5 will come for Switch. We’re talking about a domain name change from some month ago, from Atlus, from before Persona 5 R was announced. This was when speculation about the Switch deal came to life. We’ve also heard that the Joker is coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. As we already know, Joker is the main character of Persona 5. Nintendo likes to keep closer those characters that appear in games on the Nintendo consoles, so it’s understandable why Joker will come soon to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It might be used to promote the Persona 5 switch port.
The Nintendo Switch will be capable of running Persona 5. A version of the game already exists for the PlayStation 3, and the Nintendo Switch is quite good at porting games of Xbox One and PS 4, so there really shouldn’t be any problems with Persona 5.
