Who’s waiting for the major April update? The good news is that we know a few of the things that will be added next month. There are three new Clan War Leagues developments in the works for this update. Let’s check out the announcement made by Clash of Clans on their Twitter page and see what will be added and changed in the game.
Clan War Leagues Getting Larger
Clash of Clans will have a larger war league category added: 30v30 for Bronze III to Master I leagues.
While the Clan War league sign-up period will be available, all Clans below Champion III can participate in 15v15 or 30v30 War leagues. However, you must choose between the two, as you can only join one in a League season.
Here are other essential facts about the larger rooster:
- Do you need to re-seed the 30v30 rooster?
If you’ve already played in a War League, then your Clan will continue in your current League regardless of the roster size.
If your Clan has never participated in a Clan War League, you will be seeded based on the strongest 15 bases if you select 15v15 or strongest 30 bases if you select 30v30.
- Can 30v30 be available for Champion III through Champion I?
We are only allowing 30v30 in the Leagues below Champion III. We would prefer to keep the top tiers strictly 15v15.
- Are the 30v30 rewards different?
The rewards for 30v30 will still use the same revised League Medal table below.
The Rewards have been restructured so that it can encourage the competitive spirit, explains the Clash of Clans Team in their blog post. The rewards will be based on the Clan’s performance in a League, and each League will have a maximum amount of Medals that players can earn, but they depend on how much starts players earn in the League. Here is the official table with the rewards:
To make things easier to understand, the Clash of Clans team also provided an example of how many stars you earn and the medals you can receive, adding the following explanation:
For example, at Champion I if your Clan is in 1st place the maximum number of Medals you can earn is 508 Medals. However, if you won only 7 Stars over the course of the League, based on the second table, you will earn 90% of those 508, which would equal 457 Medals.
The update will also include the Champion I leaderboard which players will be able to see in-game.
