A new Mortal Kombat 11 detail was revealed. Players now know how long it will take them to complete the story mode of the game. NetherRealm Studios made this information public recently, and we can already tell you that the game should keep you busy. Dominic Cianciolo, story director on the project, talked about the game with Gamereactor and he explained that the story “is looking to be around eight hours long.”
“I can roughly estimate how long the cinematics and everything is, but I can’t tell you exactly how long the story mode will be. We did, however, learn from a representative that the story is looking to be around eight hours long,” he said.
That is a rough estimate, so it might take more (or less) time for some players to complete the story mode.
Mortal Kombat 11 Story Mode, Longer Than That Of Mortal Kombat X
If we compare Mortal Kombat 11 with its predecessor, it appears that it will take more time to complete it. As you can remember, it took around five hours to complete Mortal Kombat X. This was the average period of time needed.
If Mortal Kombat 11 is eight hours long this means that it will be noticeable longer compared to Mortal Kombat X. Nonetheless, 8 hours isn’t that much, and most players will be able to beat the game in one sit down. However, this isn’t surprising, as Mortal Kombat games aren’t usually focused on the narrative. Since it is a fighting game, eight hours should be more than enough, and players will have a chance to get accustomed to the characters.
Mortal Kombat 11 will be coming out on April 23rd. The game will be available on several platforms, including PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One. Fans will be able to purchase the game for $59.99.
