Update! Clash Royale Permanent Bans: Supercell Explains The Recent Bans

Not long ago we talked about Clash Royale responding to boosting accounts, saying that it was “not cool,” and adding that the players that do this will be permanently banned. On 14 March, Supercell’s Drew pointed out on Reddit that they have begun a massive ‘spring cleaning,’ banning accounts that broke the Terms of Service.

Clash Royale Perma-Ban?

The official Clash Royale Twitter also enforced fair play, reminding players to be fair and not use 3rd party apps to gain gems, cheat, not sell accounts or share accounts for boosts and so on.

If you’re among the players that would do anything to win, no matter what rules are broken, there’s some bad news. Supercell will not stop banning players that don’t play fair, and we agree 100% with what they had to say:

“As you may be aware, we recently banned accounts that were breaking our Terms of Service. The majority of these accounts were account sharing and had also purchased Gems fraudulently,” wrote Drew.

You want to play a game, and struggle to get to the top because that’s what competitive gaming is. Players shouldn’t make the game easier through various fraudulent actions, or else they will get banned and ruin others’ experience as well, considering these are online multiplayer games.

Account Sharing and 3rd Party Gem Purchases

As for purchasing Gems and using “hacks” to get them, the account will be banned:

3rd party Gem sellers use stolen bank cards or fraudulently acquired gift cards to make purchases, which is something we are 100% against and you should be too.

Drew added that the great majority of accounts banned in the past days were because of both account sharing and fraudulent purchases. He also announced that they would make a post in Clash Royale to remind players to be fair and not break the Terms of Service if they want their accounts to be safe.

Drew also replied to various users’ inquiries on Reddit, explaining that the majority of permanent account bans were in the case of players breaking more than one rule in Terms of Service – such as account sharing, fraudulent purchases of Gems and more.

In other news, Clash Royale also announced the official Clash Royale League is back. If you want to learn more about it, let us know in the comments below.
