Apple fans who enjoy using iPhone SE should be excited to find out that Apple is planning to launch an improved version of the device called iPhone SE2. The folks at DigiTimes have released a new report where they claim that one of their Apple insider sources has revealed the iPhone lineup for 2020. One of the iPhones that Apple is planning to launch in 2020 is iPhone SE2 and it will ship with a 5.42-inches display.
iPhone SE2
DigiTimes is reporting that Apple is going to equip the next-generation iPhone SE2 with a 5.42-inches display. This is 0.42-inches bigger than the current iPhone SE model which features a display that measures in at 5.0-inches. The interesting and exciting thing about iPhone SE2 is the fac that it will feature a button-less design.
To make things even better, Apple is also going to use OLED technology for iPhone SE2’s display. The Apple insider source is claiming that the Cupertino based tech giant is still undecided if it should use Samsung’s Y-Octa or LG Display’s TOE touch technology. We believe that Apple is going to with LG on this one because Apple has been known for doing all its in power to separate itself from Samsung.
iPhone 2020 Lineup
We should also mention that the Apple insider has said that two new 6.06-inches and 6.67-inches regular iPhones are going to launch at the same time with iPhone SE2. From the looks of it, iPhone XS is going to sport the 6.06-inches display and iPhone XS Max will ship with the slightly larger 6.67-inches display.
Nonetheless, 2020 is still far away and Apple’s plans for its new iPhone lineup might change until then. Therefore, we are advising all Apple fans to take the latest iPhone SE2 news with the necessary pinch of salt.
