God of War Was Released One Year Ago: The Anniversary Comes with Surprises for Fans

There’s not much time left until we get to see the 1st anniversary of God of War. The game was also voted Push Square’s Game of the Year, among the other praises and perfect scores. In order to celebrate this moment, there’s a free PS4 theme which can be downloaded from the PlayStation Store. There is also an avatar set that’s about to make its appearance on the 17th of April. Besides all of these, the creators went on YouTube to express their gratitude and thank the fans for being supportive.

Right on the PlayStation blog, the head of the Santa Monica Studio, whose name is Shannon Studstill said that the game was actually a leap of faith. She said that this change comes with some doubt, but the studio took the risk and made a leap of faith. She then proceeded to thank the entire worldwide team, the Sony company and the millions of fans from all around the globe, who were together with them while doing that leap.

She then talks about the following week, which will be a celebration of God of War. She said that the feedback the studio has received since the launch has been only a good one. She then thanked the fans again for helping the studio rise up to a new beginning.

About the game

God of War in an action video game, which was developed by Santa Monica Studio, and published by Sony. It got released on the 20th of April 2018, for PS4. It’s the eighth game in the series and, unlike the previous games, it also has Norse mythology, and not only Greek mythology. Also, for the first time, there are two main characters: Kratos and his young son, Atreus. Their mission is to fulfill his wife, the mother of Atreus her promise: to spread her ashed at the highest peak of the nine realms.
