Mortal Kombat 11 Story Mode Is Even Better Than Expected

Thanks to a powerful new foe and its temporal manipulations, iconic villains and heroes’ present and past versions collide in Mortal Kombat 11 story mode. By far, the series’ most entertaining tale that has ever been told is this, and the future of the franchise is being left open to exciting possibilities.

The last time we heard about our favorite heroes ( this being the terminology used for people who viciously tear other people apart during fighting tournaments ), there were some forces of evil on the run that needed to be stopped.

After Cassie Cage, the daughter of special forces general Sonya Blade and daughter of actor Johnny Cage, had soundly defeated the villainous Shinnok, the Mortal Kombat X ended. In a vicious turn, the head of Shinnok has been severed by Thunder God Raiden who also delivered it to revenant (undead and evil) Liu Kang and Kitana, his minions, using it as a warning of their fate should they ever threaten Earthrealm again. After this, their lives were all milk and honey.

Mortal Kombat 11 Story Mode Focuses On Cassie Cage

Cassie Cage, the newly-promoted commanding officer, opens Mortal Kombat 11 by leading the special forces of Earthrealm on a raid of Shinnok’s Bone Temple, their aim being to put an end to the revenant threat forever. They end up succeeding, and they destroy the temple, by Sonya, Cassie’s mother, winds up sacrificing herself so her squad can escape.

As the fate of revenant Liu Kang and Kitana is pondered in front of the ruins of their evil lair, the appearance of a new challenger takes place.
