Fans have been waiting for months for the release of Mortal Kombat 11 and the latest entry in the popular franchise is now available.
Since the title was announced NetherRealm teased character from the roster, slowly revealing the entire roster as time passed. Many of the fan-favorite fighters were present in the roster, but the studio made a surprise announcement.
A new character has been revealed in the form of Frost. Unlike the other characters, Frost will become available after players play and complete the story campaign of the game. The character debut trailer gives players a glimpse at Frost, and she seems to be a capable fighter. Frost was introduced in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, but she wasn’t playable in the 2011 reboot or Mortal Kombat X.
The game received praise for many critics, but some controversies have already surfaced as players complain that the title seems to have been designed with monetization in mind. A quick look at the Steam page of the game will surprise some potential players since the reviews are mostly negative.
The last character revealed in Mortal Kombat 11 is Frost
Many players claim that the satisfaction of unlocking Frost is minimal since the game offers you the chance to unlock her for $6. Players will also have the option to purchase a currency called Time Crystals with real money. The currency can be earned while playing the game and it can be used to purchase specific skins in the premium store, removing the need to grind for them by opening random loot boxes.
Koins are the default currency of the game and can be spent to open and acquire loot boxes in the Krypt. A separate currency, Soult Fragments, is needed if you wish to unlock new areas of the Krypt. The last currency comes in the form of Hearts, which can be obtained by successfully performing Fatalities and Brutalities and by completing the Tower of Time Challenges.
The studio has already announced that the gameplay will be tweaked to make the experience more enjoyable for everyone.
