iPhone 11 Lineup Appeared In The Eurasian Economic Commission’s Database

It is well-known that Apple has made a habit out of releasing new iPhone models every year, in the fall. Every year without fail, the Eurasian Economic Commission adds the latest devices to the regulatory database, before the official announcement and release of the new iPhone models. This year’s iPhone 11 lineup has already been added to the database, being labeled with the model numbers A2111, A2160, A2161, A2215, A2216, A2217, A2218, A2219, A2220, A2221, and A2223.

The majority of Apple hardware products are added to the EEC database since it keeps track of devices that feature encryption technologies. The most recent additions from Apple this year were the iPad Air and iPad mini 5, which were registered in January, a few months before their launch.
As it happened this year, the database sometimes acknowledges products we are not aware of. All of the eleven models registered were described in the filing as new Apple smartphones.

It is believed that the models labeled with A2111, A2161, and A2215 are most probably identifiers for the iPhone XR successors. The other labels most likely represent the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Max. The reason why there are as many as eleven identifiers is that Apple produces different versions of their new iPhone models to fit different regions of the world. For example, China will receive alternative cellular band compatibility and a physical dual SIM phone.

As far as speculations go, many believe that this year’s lineup will feature a similar appearance to last year’s models. There is a possibility that Apple will switch to a matte finish for the back glass. Besides from new additions like bilateral wireless charging for AirPods or the more performant Apple A13 chip, 2019’s iPhone lineup will bring many upgrades in the camera department.

The iPhone 11 successors of the XR and XS models will receive an extra camera. The iPhone 11 and 11 Max will sport a triple-camera arrangement, which is a premiere for Apple. The official announcement will probably be made by Apple in early fall, during a media event.
