This tutorial will show you how to fix connection problems on Android 6.0.
Xender is arguably the most convenient (and fastest) file sharing platform for Android smartphones and tablets, as it allows sharing of huge video and audio files across devices within seconds. In fact, there is an option to share files simultaneously across multiple devices.
However, the file sharing app uses Wi-Fi/Hotspot connectivity, which makes it prone to various forms and degrees of connection problems.
To resolve these problems, we’ll be showing you some quick fixes, which are applicable on Android 6.0 smartphones/tablets (and newer).
Fix: Xender Connection Problems on Android 6.0
However, while these modern upgrades offer better user experience, they also come with a number of issues, one of which is the common connection problem associated with the use of Xender, especially on Android 6.0 smartphones/tablets.
To fix these problems, follow the guides outlined below:
Fix 1: Check Wi-Fi/Hotspot
First things first: Xender connects devices via Wi-Fi/Hotspot. Therefore, in the event of a connection problem while trying to send or receive files via Xender, first check and ensure that the Wi-Fi or Hotspot icon comes up. If the icon does not come up, then you can try and turn it on manually.
Also, disable your device’s mobile data connection and Bluetooth. And for better performance, the procedure should be repeated on the other (sending/receiving) device.
This should fix the error.
Fix 2: Restart Device
If the above procedure could not fix the problem, you can try and restart your phone. This would fix temporary glitches that could be causing the error. Consequently, your device’s refreshed, and Xender should now work fine.
Still unable to connect? Try the next fix.
Fix 3: Update App
To do this:
- Update Xender from Play Store
- Switch on “Location” and launch the newly updated app (Xender)
- Switch on “Location” on the other device (sender or receiver).
Check if the problem is resolve. If it’s not, try the next fix
Fix 4: Enable Xender in “Network Management”
Some Android smartphones and tablets come with a feature known as “Phone Master”, which allows you to make some changes to your device.
To fix this problem using this feature, follow the steps below:
- Close Xender.
- Launch Phone Master, and go to Network Management.
- Locate “Xender” and check the ‘marked’ box beside it (turn it on).
- Apply changes and exit program.
- Launch Xender again and see if the problem is fixed.
Closing Note
If the problem persists after running all the above fixes, try and clear the app’s cache or simply “remove and reinstall” it from Google Play Store. You should be good.
