Samsung announced last year that its top phones will receive system updates for three major versions of the Android operating system, already above the market average of two years. Now, the company also boasts security updates for an extended period of four years. In comparison, even Pixel phones from Google receive only three years of security updates. However, Samsung does not apply this rule only to the top series, but offers the update on all phones and tablets launched in 2019, 2020 and from now on.

The company also provided a complete list of devices covered by this new round of security updates. These are devices from the main Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series, as well as cheaper models from the Galaxy A and Galaxy M series, Galaxy Fold and Flip foldable phones, as well as Galaxy Tab tablets. If your phone is on this list, it will receive security updates by 2023 or 2024, depending on the year of release:
