Starting a journey to our favorite cinema or restaurant seems almost impossible nowadays without using a navigation app such as Waze or Google Maps, especially if we live in a big city with crowded areas. Both apps are owned by Google, and today we’ll be analyzing what Waze can do.

There’s a new update available for Waze at the moment, which brings the famous navigation app to version 4.95.40.400. Although it’s only in its beta version for the moment, the update is still worth giving a try if you’re one of the numerous Waze users.

What’s new in Waze 4.95.40.400 beta

A little but pesky bug has been fixed that was causing some inconvenience when users shared their drive with others. Now, you’ll be happy to know that the car icon, which shows the progress along the route, will always be visible during shared drives.

That means that you will no longer be confused regarding your location on the map! With the new bug fix, you can now share your drive with friends, family members, or co-workers, and they’ll be able to see exactly where you are on the route.

With the improved visibility of the car icon, users can navigate through busy roads with confidence, knowing that their progress is accurately depicted on the map.

It’s very important to keep in mind if you want to install the 4.95.40.400 beta update for Waze that, you’ll need at least Android 7 running on your phone. Considering that we’re talking about an Android version that’s seven years old, we’re confident that pretty much anyone out there has a newer version of Google’s mobile operating system installed.

The new Waze 4.95.40.400 beta update is available in APK form, as you are free to grab it as a simple APK file. No bundle versions are available so far, but you probably won’t even need any.
