Red Dead Redemption Has a New Logo Hinting at Possible Remaster Version

Take-Two

A brand-new logo for Red Dead Redemption was recently added to the Rockstar Games website, which has sparked speculation regarding an unannounced remake for the much-loved video game. So, shall we start making preparations for a major event very soon? Well, yes, and now. It would be better if we did not hurry because there’s more than meets the eye.

According to the reporter @TezFunz2, “Rockstar’s new site update, which went live approximately an hour ago, added a new reference within the games list.” Based on the listing, that makes reference to a game with the codename ‘RDR1RSP’ that is called ‘Red Dead Redemption (Rockstar Presents Ver).’

It would make sense for Rockstar Games to bring back the original Red Dead Redemption game and give players the opportunity to go back in time, given the continuous success of the multi-award-winning sequel Red Dead Redemption 2. Still, the company has been secretive about its future intentions. Like, let’s not even start with the GTA 6 stuff, right?!

Many people have brought up the fact that Red Dead Redemption was just re-rated by the Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea, which, on its own, would not be considered to be anything particularly significant. According to information provided by Gematsu, a fresh rating was assigned to the game on June 15, 2023; however, there is apparently very little clue as to why this occurred.

So far, it is not obvious whether Rockstar has opted to rethink this notion or whether a revised logo file and Korean game rating is simply a question of tidying up.
