Fantastic news! The action role-playing game Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, which has been in production for a very long time by Paradox Interactive, has been revived with a new developer and a new release date. We bet you didn’t see that coming because, to be fair with you, neither of us actually did. On Saturday, during PAX West, an announcement video was released. In it, you can find out more information about the upcoming game Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. Have a look at it down here:
Bloodlines 2 is also continuing to center around the holiday season, but it takes place in the midst of a historic blizzard. The most recent video for Bloodlines 2, as well as the concept art for the game, have a really sophisticated appearance, don’t they? In addition to this, Hardsuit Labs’ original concept for the protagonist has been scrapped and replaced with an entirely new character type. Originally, Bloodlines 2 was going to center on a newly-turned “thin blood” vampire as the protagonist. Older is better, according to the World of Darkness rules, and the fabled lineages of Antediluvian vampire ancestors have been diluted over the millennia—they just don’t generate new-generation vamps like they used to (poor vampires).
The protagonist of Bloodlines 2 will now be an “Elder” vampire who has awakened from an unspecified slumber. According to the rules of the first Vampire: The Masquerade game, one achieves Elder rank after 300 years of not being dead.
The creation of Bloodlines 2 has been fraught with difficulties and drawn out. It was at first going to be developed by Hardsuit Labs, and the first release date was set for the year 2020. However, in February of 2021, Paradox revealed that it would be delaying Bloodlines 2 once again and would no longer be working with Hardsuit Labs on the game. In light of the fact that everything is going so swimmingly right now, it is unquestionably a relief!
