Fix: My BT Hub is Flashing Purple

BT

Having trouble with your BT Hub? Is your BT Hub flashing purple? Well, if you experience something like this, you’re not alone! For starters, it is important for you to be aware that the lights on your BT Hub each represent a separate function. When your BT Hub, for example, displays a green light, this indicates that it is linked to the internet and functioning appropriately.

Examine the mini-guide below to find a solution to the problem of the BT Hub flashing purple.

Why Does the BT Hub Flash Purple?

Your BT Hub is now undergoing the procedure of resetting itself, as indicated by the presence of a purple light on the hub. Every other light will be turned off during this period of time. It is expected that this will only stay for a few minutes; if it continues, you can attempt the following solutions:

Method 1

Make sure that your internet connection is functioning correctly by checking it. In the event that the BT Hub fails to connect to the internet, it will be unable to interact with other devices that are linked to the network, which will result in a flashing purple light of the BT brand.

Method 2

To determine whether or not there are any software or firmware upgrades available, visit the website for BT Hub Manager and pick the option to “Check for Updates” from the menu.

Method 3

Once you have successfully connected to the hub, check that you have used the right login and password.

Method 4

In order to restart the BT router, first remove it straight from the wall socket, then wait ten seconds, and finally re-plug it into the phone socket. The connection will be reset to factory settings, which may alleviate any temporary difficulties that may have arisen.

BT Hub Flashing Pink Fix

When your BT Hub can’t connect to the broadband connection, or there is a sustained disruption in service, a pink light will flash, and it’s as annoying as the purple one. Restarting the hub or checking the connections is something that should be done.

Remember that you can always get more help from BT support if the problem continues!
