Sniper Elite 4: Which Is the Best Sniper Rifle in the Game?

Credit: Steam

Sniper Elite 4 will soon become 7 years old, but despite its venerable age, it arguably remains the best game of its series. It’s also not farfetched to claim that Sniper Elite 4 is one of the best WWII games ever made, and it definitely stands out due to its high level of realism when it comes to tactical stealth.

When it comes to saying which is the best sniper rifle in Sniper Elite 4, it’s difficult to be objective because, you know, people think differently. Therefore, we’ve established a little ranking of some of the best sniper rifles in the game, and you are free to tell us your own selections in the comments if you wish!

Carcano

Carcano can be a pretty devastating sniper rifle if it’s used correctly. It can zoom 16 times, and it has a pretty exciting bolt action system. There’s very little hand vibration, and the damage is almost always high. It’s almost impossible to miss at long ranges with this weapon if you use it correctly.

The Carcano rifle has been inspired by the real-life Italian Carcano M91/38 rifle, a weapon that was used by the Italian army during WWII.

M1 Carbine

M1 Carbine is a semi-automatic rifle that is capable of a faster rate of fire compared to bolt-action rifles. The firepower and balance of mobility are the main strongholds of this weapon in the game.

As you’ve probably already guessed, the M1 Carbine rifle has been inspired by the weapon with the same name used by the US military during WWII and beyond. It was a weapon easy to carry and versatile enough.

Mosin-Nagant M91/30

Mosin-Nagant M91/30 is a bolt-action sniper rifle known for its long-range accuracy and powerful shots. This weapon is usually valued due to its precision and high damage output, while it can also take out enemies from a distance without alerting others. This weapon is based on the real-life Soviet bolt-action rifle known as the Mosin-Nagant M1891/30, a gun that was widely used during the Second World War.

M1 Garand

M1 Garand also deserves some praise, as it’s a semi-automatic rifle in Sniper Elite 4, which was inspired by the real-life weapon used by the US Army during World War II. Otherwise, the M1 Garand is the standard sniper rifle that Karl Fairburne uses in Sniper Elite 3, the predecessor game of Sniper Elite 4.

The M1 Garand weapon is known for its high recoil and damage, zoom, low muzzle velocity, and scope wobble. The weapon is able to perform well, and General George S. Patton called it “the greatest battle implement ever devised.”

Gewehr 43

Gewehr 43 is a German semi-automatic rifle, and it is one of the staple rifles of the Sniper Elite series. You can find it in all of the Sniper Elite games and Zombie Army spin-offs.

Gewehr 43 is known for having a high rate of fire as well as good scope zooming, while the low muzzle velocity might be the weapon’s only downside.

Sniper Elite 4 is available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Windows PC, and Google Stadia.
