It’s been less than two weeks since 2024 started, and the new year has a lot in store for Dragon Ball fans. Goku and the gang will continue their adventures this year as well, thanks to a brand new anime, a new game from the Budokai Tenkaichi series, and more.

The online realm is already teeming with fellows who are on either one of the two major sides: those who are harsh critics of the upcoming Dragon Ball Daima anime and those who love the plot even though there’s a lot more to learn about the forthcoming show. All we have is a trailer and the information that the new anime series is coming out in the fall of 2024.

Dragon Ball Daima: What to expect?

Dragon Ball is celebrating its 40-year anniversary in 2024 through the forthcoming Dragon Ball Daima anime series. Therefore, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Goku will become a kid again, but the fact that his friends will also be turned into kids by an evil fellow is definitely something that nobody expected.

Goku has become a child again in Dragon Ball GT, and most Dragon Ball fans didn’t like the idea. However, Dragon Ball Daima will have a similar scenario, as characters such as Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Master Roshi, and others will become kids. The demon who will do this to them is somehow connected to Majin Buu, the strongest villain from Dragon Ball Z.

We would definitely like to know more about the upcoming anime, but that will certainly change soon enough. Stay tuned!

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero: Fighters from Dragon Ball Super

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is the continuation of the legendary Budokai Tenkaichi series, and it will hit us after a long hiatus of 17 years. Tenkaichi 3, the last game of the series, was a masterpiece, and the developers from Spike have a lot more material to exploit, considering that Dragon Ball Super came out some years after the latest Budokai Tenkaichi game was released. In other words, a lot of the characters and new transformations from Dragon Ball Super will make their way to Tenkaichi Budokai 4 (aka the forthcoming Sparking Zero game). We can expect both Goku and Vegeta in their Super Saiyan Blue forms, Golden Frieza, Jiren, Hit, Kale, Caulifa, Bergamo, and many others.

According to various sources, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero will even have the largest roster of fighters of all Dragon Ball games. If we look a bit into the past, we can easily realize that Budokai Tenkaichi 3, the latest game of the series, had almost 100 characters. The sequel will have more than that, as it certainly has a lot more material to exploit because of Dragon Ball Super. Who knows, maybe Dragon Ball Daima elements will be included as well.

Dragon Ball Super: Will there be a Season 2?

Rumors about a second season for the Dragon Ball Super anime had been going on since the end of the first season back in March 2018, along with the incredible conclusion of the Tournament of Power. However, there’s no reliable information claiming that the show will make a comeback in 2024 for the larger displays, but the good news is that we can still expect more from the manga version. Frieza is stronger than ever at this point due to his new Black Frieza form, and we can expect him to be the brains behind an evil plan soon enough.

The manga version of Dragon Ball Super continues the story long after the Tournament of Power arc, as characters such as Moro, Granolah, and Gas appear. Also, Vegeta has a new form in the manga that can rival Goku’s Ultra Instinct, and it’s known as Ultra Ego.

It’s clear that the future of Dragon Ball looks pretty good in 2024, so stay tuned for more information!
