Robert De Niro takes the leading role in “Raging Bull,” as he plays Jake LaMotta, a successful boxer whose temper destroys his personal life. Frank Vincent and Joe Pesci are also in the cast of this movie. De Niro’s character is a misogynistic and turbulent personality that’s hard to deal with, but that’s the whole charm of this classic and iconic film.
Casino (1995)
“Casino” is another unforgettable movie with names such as Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, Sharon Stone, and Frank Vincent in the main roles. The movie explores the world of gambling and how gambling machines are made to always profit. Even if someone wins fair and square, he can be suspected of cheating if he wins too often. The characters of De Niro and Joe Pesci are best friends, but they also have an affair with the same woman, played by Sharon Stone, without knowing about the other. Deep down, De Niro’s character knows that he can’t trust either his friend or his girlfriend.
Once Upon a Time in America (1984)
“Once Upon a Time in America” from 1984 represents another one of De Niro’s amazing acting performances, as he plays the role of a mobster who sets a bet in stone with his good friends when they were very young. They wanted to build an empire and escape poverty, but not in an orthodox way. This movie is a classic and will remain forever in the hearts of numerous cinephiles around the world. It’s a 10/10, without a doubt.
