Credit: Hello!

Morgan Freeman is easily one of the best actors that God has put on the surface of the Earth, as the guy is known for numerous unforgettable performances in top movies. It’s impossible to pick an absolute best when it comes to Morgan Freeman’s movies, but we’ll gladly make a list of some of the top ones that all of us should see in a lifetime.

Morgan Freeman began his acting career at the age of only 9 years old during a school play. He immediately understood that he had a God-given talent. Let’s remind you of some of the best movies featuring the legendary actor:

Se7en (1995)

In Se7en, Morgan Freeman plays alongside Brad Pitt as the detective in charge of capturing a serial killer, played by Kevin Spacey. The killer used to take down his enemies based on the seven deadly sins from the Bible: wrath, sloth, pride, lust, greed, envy, and gluttony. When a person was known for committing any of those sins, the killer would try to kill the person.

The movie is terrifying and mysterious, while it also showcases the mindset and motivation of the serial killer who was giving the two detectives a hard time.

The Shawshank Redemption (1994)

The Shawshank Redemption from 1994 is one of the most highly-praised movies in history, as it presents the inner struggles and journey of an inmate, played by Rim Robbins, who was incarcerated by mistake. Morgan Freeman, on the other hand, takes the role of Red, another inmate who was “the only guilty man in Shawshank.” Red was the handy guy, capable of getting anything another inmate wanted in exchange for a commission.

The Shawshank Redemption is an excellent life lesson that shows you how you should never let go of hope and ambition to surpass your limits. It shows us all that we should never let ourselves be beaten down by others.

The Bucket List (2007)

In “The Bucket List,” Morgan Freeman makes a great couple with Jack Nicholson as two cancer patients who are well aware that they will leave this world soon enough. As a result, they are determined to fulfill their wildest dreams in the short time they have left. This movie is loaded with life lessons and philosophy, as anybody can learn something useful from it. Morgan Freeman also has the role of a smart man who is also a believer in God, while his new friend, played by Jack Nicholson, has serious doubts about the existence of a supreme being.

Bruce Almighty (2003)

“Bruce Almighty” is a very amusing comedy in which Jim Carrey and Morgan Freeman take the main roles. Jim Carrey plays the role of a guy who’s constantly pissed off at his life and blames God for his lack of success. One day, God himself reveals to Jim Carrey’s character in human form. God is played by none other than Morgan Freeman himself and he wants to make the upset guy realize how difficult it is to be God. The Allpowerful deity proposes Jim Carrey’s character to give all his powers to him for a week. The guy accepts the deal, and rapidly realizes that he isn’t fit for the job as the most powerful deity in all existence.

The Dark Knight (2008)

“The Dark Knight,” the movie that focuses on the legendary performance of Heath Ledger as he steps in the shoes of the Joker, also has Morgan Freeman in the cast, who plays alongside other important names such as Christian Bale, Aaron Eckhart, and Michael Caine. Freeman takes the role of Lucious Fox, the guy in charge of giving Bruce Wayne the “toys” he needs to take advantage of his skills as Batman.

The Dark Knight Rises (2012)

In Gotham City, several years after the defeat of Joker, Batman is trying to pull his stuff together in order to confront Bane, a new villain who has brought the city into chaos with his vicious guerilla terrorist ideas. Morgan Freeman takes the role of Fox, the guy in charge of giving Bruce Wayne the gear and costume he needs to become Batman.

Selina Kyle, also known as Catwoman, who is played by Anne Hathaway, also has an important role in this movie. She is the one helping Bruce Wayne come out of exile and get in shape once again.

Morgan Freeman has an impressive acting career, and all that we can hope for is that he won’t retire anytime soon. Even though Freeman has the venerable age of 86 years old, he still has a lot to show to the world.
