Counter-Strike 2: How to Become a Much Better Player ASAP

Credit: Steam

Counter-Strike 2 continues the huge legacy left behind by Counter-Strike 1.6 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, as Valve has released CS 2 as a free update for those who had a copy of CS: GO. CS: GO was also free to play after you download it from Steam, which means that pretty much anyone can enjoy what its successor has to offer.

However, we must keep in mind that CS 2 has system requirements that are a bit higher than those of its predecessor, CS: GO. The latest Counter-Strike game also occupies more storage space compared to CS: GO, but that shouldn’t be a problem if you’re a hardcore fan of the iconic series.

Playing Counter-Strike, whether you do it alone with bots or with your friends, is not just an extremely fun activity. It can also be rewarding, as there is such a thing as Counter-Strike championships with real prizes. If you’re willing to get your hands on those prizes or just have some fun along with your friends with a good session of Counter-Strike 2, here are a few tips for how to become a better player ASAP:

Practice your aim and recoil control

Practicing your aim and recoil control is crucial if you want to become a better Counter-Strike player. Therefore, feel free to practice with bots and start from medium difficulty or even lower. You can gradually increase that difficulty once you feel that it’s too easy for you and keep practicing your aim and recoil control.

Once you feel that you have a decent aim and recoil control, feel free to practice them as you play against others as well.

Watch professional matches

Platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, and others are loaded with gameplay footage of professional players. It’s also the case for games such as Counter-Strike 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and Counter-Strike 1.6, and they are presented in the first-person perspective. Observing those matches can be a great way to improve your gameplay in CS2. You can feel free to watch them multiple times in a row to make sure that you have indeed learned something.

Watching CS2 matches of professionals, including champions, can be a great way to dive into the depths of the game. Thus, you can practice your aim, recoil, learn the maps better, as well as take note of some little secrets of the game that only professionals can teach you.

 Learn the maps by heart

It’s mandatory to know those numerous maps of CS2 as well as possible, and learning them by heart, if you think you have what it takes, is even better. CS2 has numerous maps that were also present in the previous game, Coeunter-Strike: Global Offensive. However, the guys from Valve have done a great job by improving classic maps such as Dust 2, and there’s no reason to think that they will stop in the near future. We will probably receive new maps for CS2 in the near future if we have the game installed. That’s why it’s always a good idea to check the game as frequently as possible, as we never know when a bulky new update will land.

Play Deathmatch and Aim Maps

It’s also a great idea to regularly play deathmatch and aim maps, as you can definitely improve your reflexes, aim, and map awareness in this way. Such modes can assure you intense practice sessions that can make you focus more on gunfights without having to worry about objectives.
