PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds for PlayStation 4 May Be Finally Coming

PUBG, or PlayerUnknown’s battlegrounds, built a large fan base on Xbox, Microsoft Windows, Android, and iOS. Not to mention that it can be played on mobile platforms for free. However, as you might observe from the platforms listed earlier, Sony’s console is missing. Now, we have some excellent news as PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds for PlayStation 4 may be finally coming, pleasing the fans of Sony’s current-gen video games console.

As reported by Game Rating and Administration Committee, the South Korean games rating board, PUBG is dubbed as “next to PlayStation 4.” If so, that would put the Xbox and Microsoft’s exclusivity to an end after about one year since the renowned Battle Royale title emerged in December 2017.

However, until that happens, PUBG will remain available only on Microsoft Windows, Xbox, Android, and iOS platforms.

On the other hand, PUBG Corp., the owner of the game, has always been open to releasing PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds on more platforms.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds for PlayStation 4 May Be Finally Coming

PUBG Corp. would be more than happy to release a game version for the PlayStation 4 as that would obviously mean more profits for the company. Earlier this year, also, PUBG Corp. CEO, Chang Han Kim, stated that he hopes PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds would be eventually available on all the existing gaming platforms.

Additionally, PUBG Corp. would like to move beyond the gaming industry and emerge on other markets, including TV and movies, which would make the title turn into a universal media franchise.

However, PlayStation 4 seems the next logical destination for the PUBG Battle Royale title. As Sony’s PS4 gathers a vast gamers database from all over the world, that would also considerably expand the game’s fan base.

In other news, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will soon get another update that would bring the new QBU DMR gun to substitute the Mini14. The new weapon would be available in the Sanhok map. The patch would also come out with a new vehicle plus many improvements.
