Microsoft announced the availability of its November Xbox One update which comes with mouse and keyboard support and with enhanced search functionality.
The most significant achievement of this month’s firmware update for Xbox One is the support for mouse and keyboard peripherals, allowing gamers who are more used with playing with mouse and keyboard. For the moment, Xbox One users can play Fortnite and Warframe with a mouse and keyboard, while, in the future, Microsoft will add support for the Bomber Crew, Deep Rock Galactic, Strange Brigade, Vermintide 2, War Thunder and Warface titles.
A “Designed for Xbox” mouse and keyboard set is also in the plan for Microsoft which teamed up with Razer for producing these Xbox One peripherals.
November Xbox One Update Is Already Available With Mouse and Keyboard Support
“One of the biggest asks we’ve had for Xbox Game Pass was to allow pre-load (pre-install), so you can download and be ready the second launch happens. It’s available now – and starts with Crackdown 3 on Xbox and Windows,” Mike Ybarra, Xbox corporate vice president, said on Twitter.
Besides adding mouse and keyboard support for Xbox One, Microsoft also stated it expanded the Xbox search functionality to include results from Xbox Assist and about the games you have ‘Ready to Install’ or currently own, according to Mobile Syrup.
With no connection with the November Xbox One update, Mike Ybarra, the company’s vice president, also announced that Xbox Game Pass members can now pre-load games. The first title available for pre-loading would be Crackdown 3, the long sought-after action-adventure game scheduled to roll out on February 15th, 2019.
In the meantime, Xbox One owners can enjoy mouse and keyboard support (only for Fortnite and Warframe, for the moment) thanks to the Microsoft’s November Xbox One update which is now available for download.
