Sony is up to launching a PlayStation Classic, and the Japanese company revealed its list of the 20 games preloaded on the console, which include Final Fantasy VII and Metal Gear Solid, two fo the most significant titles of the series.
The PlayStation Classic is “a PlayStation neophyte who’s spent the past couple weeks with a Classic, getting a crash course on the console’s best games. I’ll admit that I couldn’t quite match the dedication of my colleague Devin Coldewey, who reviewed all 30 games on the Nintendo Classic. Instead, I’ve tried out 10 of the 20 preloaded games, and since I was usually playing with friends or family, I generally spent more time with the titles that supported two players.” as TechCrunch put it, elegantly.
For those gamers who enjoyed the games in the past, they should buy the PlayStation Classic when it comes out on December 3rd. In reality, you’ll get 20 classic games for $99.99 which is the price of the console itself.
PlayStation Classic Reminds You Of “Final Fantasy VII” and “Metal Gear Solid”
“If you’re familiar with the expansive world and fun storylines of the ‘Grand Theft Auto’ franchise, then the original game will feel a bit simplistic. It’s worth playing to see how much the writing and the technology have evolved, but after a few minutes you’ll probably be tempted to swap it out for one of the later games,” said Anthony Ha from Tech Crunch.
And he’s right, as PlayStation Classic’s games would not give the same vibe as the Nintendo Classic games. When playing some PlayStation Classic games, you might be disappointed by the quality of those games, in comparison with the modern-day games.
Well, PlayStation Classic games are not bad games, thinking about “Final Fantasy VII” and “Metal Gear Solid,” but they might look awkward for am PS4 gamer who is already into modern-day video games with superior graphics and gameplay.
