Recently, we found out that Saurik has decided to leave Cydia aside. It seems that Cydia’s replacement works just fine, and it’s time to meet the light of the day. The first Sileo beta has been released for iOS 11 jailbreak. They’ve been working at this platform for more than five months, after they first teased it, and now Electra has decided to release the first beta version for the iOS 11 jailbreak.
Sileo to replace Cydia
Electra has decided to release the first package manager that’s meant to replace Cydia. It’s true, the best may not be perfect just yet, because even after months of testing, there are still bugs and some stability issues, which will probably be fixed over time.
But as of now, Sileo supports only the latest version of Electra. Also, only the Unc0ver jailbreak is not supported at this moment. Despite all of this, some of the users have said that it works just fine.
If you want to get the jailbreak for your iPad or iPhone, you can download Sileo from the Electra repo. Also, you need to keep in mind that the Dynastic repo supports payments, and the Chariz repo wants to add payment support as well. Users have complained that there are many bugs on the platform that comes when installing or uninstalling new tweaks, so make sure you take that into account, too. If you want a jailbreak that’s stable, then you will have to wait a bit. Trust us, it will be worth it.
Sileo will be updated soon and will come with fixes for the bugs and to improve the stability. Of course, there’s more to the story, but until then, this is all we have regarding this subject.
