ArmA III is the most realistic military shooter you’ll ever have the chance to play. In ArmA III, you’ll experience how it’s like to be a soldier, and it’s the best military simulation ever. Now, Operation: Trebuchet, an ArmA III mod, turns this realistic military shooter into a massive Halo experience.
ArmA III Mod, Operation: Trebuchet, Transforms The Realistic Military Shooter Into a Massive Halo Experience
Operation: Trebuchet, which has been in development for several years already, changes everything in ArmA III. This mod, named after the UNSC’s movement against insurrectionists prior to the Covenant invasion, Operation: Trebuchet adds things like Halo UI to in-game vehicles, buildings, and weapons, while it’s also bringing Halo-like environmental props.
“Operation: TREBUCHET (OPTRE) was the last major UNSC offensive against the human insurrection before the first contact with the Covenant empire. Our mod will focus on the struggles of the common soldier rather than the elite Spartan warriors, allowing you to experience the Halo universe from a new, brutal perspective. OPTRE is a total modification with the intent to bring the popular Halo Universe into a more realistic setting by introducing it into Arma 3,” the official description of the ArmA III mod reads.
Operation: Trebuchet Is Now Available As An Alpha Version On SteamCommunity
As the official description of this ArmA III mod reads, the Operation: Trebuchet game mode is not working as a “shoot’em up” game, but it wants the gamers to experience the space battle through the eyes of a grunt.
As the devs put it, Operation: Trebuchet is about turning the Halo universe into a realistic shooter, and the best way to achieve that was to introduce it into ArmA III, possibly the most realistic military shooter ever made.
The Halo ArmA III mod known as Operation: Trebuchet is now available as an Alpha version, and it is downloadable from the SteamCommunity page for the project, here.
