The technology company Lenovo has renewed its ThinkPad X1 series and presented the new models at CES 2019 in Las Vegas, in the United States, which present refined features based on user suggestions.
Lenovo highlighted the role of customers in the development of the enhanced ThinkPad X1 series, which is expanded with the new seventh-generation ThinkPad X1 Carbon and fourth-generation ThinkPad X1 Yoga notebooks.
The new ThinkPad X1 Carbon will be available with a visible carbon fiber top cover. The Premium model of the X1 Carbon will boast a 4K Dolby Vision display, a top cover has been developed to further highlight the use of carbon fiber in the manufacture of the world’s lightest notebook.
For its part, the new ThinkPad X1 Yoga will have an astonishing aluminum chassis in iron grey. It features a slimmer, lighter and smaller design than the previous generation ThinkPad X1 Yoga, but retains its quality.

Lenovo has partnered with Dolby to bring audio and imaging technology to this latest line of X1 laptops. In addition to a Dolby Vision option, the new X1 Carbon and X1 Yoga also feature the Dolby Atmos speaker system, which creates an immersive audio experience.
Regarding security, the two ThinkPad X1 laptops include a new 400-nit FHD display option containing ThinkPad PrivacyGuard, a solution that protects the screen from prying eyes.
The new seventh-generation ThinkPad X1 is 14.95mm thick and weighs 1.13kg, with a 14-inch screen. It integrates a Dolby Atmos speaker system with two tweeters and two woofers, and four long-range microphones designed to use Cortana on Windows 10 or Amazon Alexa.
ThinkPad X1 Carbon will be available from June 2019, with an expected start price of $1,709, while ThinkPad X1 Yoga will start at $1,929. Along with the new notebooks, Lenovo has introduced its 43.4-inch ThinkVision P44w display, which offers a 32:10 aspect ratio with 3840 x 1200 resolution and VESA-certified DisplayHDR 400 panel with a maximum brightness of 450 nits.
