Build the best deck of cards
You don’t want to have a deck that’s made entirely of fragile fighters and ground-based melee scrappers. Make sure that you also balance your cards, to resist the various attacks. Also, take a look at value, too, or you’ll be killed before you even get to wait for the elixir refills.
Use those units that only attack towers
There are some specific units that are made to only attack towers, like Giant and Hog Rider. If you get one of those for your deck, you’ll get very lucky, as they do not get distracted if your opponent suddenly decides to use one of its units near the battlefield.
How to pair units
It’s not always safe to send units solo, as they could get clobbered. So you need to make sure that you know how to make some combinations, to send them together to win. Giants can take a lot of damage, so make sure you put one in front of a balloon, in order to protect the other one until it gets to the tower.
Keep in mind that Hog Riders are vulnerable to swarms, but they can be a disaster if you pair them with Goblins, Fire or Ice Spirits. Or all three of them together.
