Blackout Battle Royale mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is now getting a new limited time game mode, the so-called Down But Not Out. This new Blackout approach is set to change the game in Battle Royale, as it is the first to allow respawning.
As we already know, in Battle Royale games, once you die in battle, you lose the fight, and you’ll have to wait until the contest ends to replay. That’s one reason why many players love Battle Royale as the gamer has to evolve and learn to become among the best ones out there to win the game.
Now, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout’s Down But Not Out new game mode is set to change the Battle Royale concept by allowing respawning. However, there’s a catch in Down But Not Out to permit you to respawn.
Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout Battle Royale Received A New Game Mode, Permitting Respawning
It seems that the new Down But Not Out mode in Blackout is only for squads and would allow every player engaged in the battle to respawn when the circle resets. The catch is that there should be at least one teammate alive for you to respawn when got shot down.
However, you’ll lose your gear when respawning, as the game will only offer you a basic loadout any time you respawn.
At the moment, the new Blackout mode, Down But Not Out, in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is available only on PlayStation 4 for a limited period. Currently, Treyarch did not mention if the new game mode would become available on other platforms, too, or it would roll out as a fulltime mode in Blackout. However, now, the Down But Not Out game mode is live on PS4 between January 16th and January 30th.
