Red Dead Redemption 2 was recently released, and people have started to ask themselves what’s next for Rockstar. We all know that Grand Theft Auto 5 was the most successful video game (of all time, may we add), but the game is six years old. So where’s our sequel? The company has been silent about it, or about any other project, as a matter of fact.
When’s the release date of GTA 6?
We don’t have any official announcement about an upcoming game. Before the release of Grand Theft Auto 5, we’ve heard rumors about a game called “Agent”. The game was supposed to take place during the Cold War. The entire concept was leaked in 2017. However, in November 2018, we’ve seen how the ‘Agent’ trademark was abandoned by the studios, which means that it won’t meet the light of the day.
They’re probably working on it
The next step for the studio would be to develop Grand Theft Auto 6 because it’s clear that the studio has the money and they are capable of doing it. However, they did not make any official statements about working on GTA. We’ve seen many leaks over the years, so they probably are working on it. There are two reliable sources that showed how the game would return to Vice City.

Truth be told, we probably won’t hear of GTA 6 soon, or at least before E3 2019, when they usually tease new projects. Predictions on the internet say that we will see the game in late 2022. Given the fact that the studio just released Red Dead Redemption 2, we might have to wait at least two years before they release another game.
