Angry Birds launched in 2009, and it quickly became one of the most popular games ever. Many titles, mostly spinoffs, and even a movie have emerged since then, but there is room for more, the devs behind the game believe. Now, Angry Birds made it to Virtual Reality (VR) – Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs.
Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs rolled out today, and it is the results of a collaboration between Rovio (the devs behind the Angry Birds franchise) and Resolution Games. The new Angry Birds-based Virtual Reality game comes with 50 levels with the same goals as the original game and its sequels and spinoffs.
So, in Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs, as in the other games of the franchise, you must shoot birds into the evil pigs and their constructions until no pig is left alive.

In Angry Birds VR: Isle Of Pigs, we’ll also meet with favorites Red, Chuck, Bomb, and Blue birds, all of which with their own skills and characteristics. Use them smartly, and you’ll destroy all the evil pigs and their constructions, and you’ll earn rewards as you pass levels.
“We felt that the IP itself landed extremely well to using your hands, being able to intuitively know what to do and have this 3D version of an old classic,” said Tommy Palm, CEO of Resolution Games, for Engadget.
“Players can jump from one vantage point to another to discover hidden weaknesses that might not be visible from other angles. That definitely adds another dimension to the demolition gameplay,’ AndroidPit added. However, unlike the original games, this Angry Birds VR: Isle Of Pigs would not be free. It would cost you $15 to buy it or $9 in case you own a Vive Port subscription.
