We know for sure some things about Huawei Mate X. Namely, it is a beautiful phone, its design is impressive, and it really shows how a phone could push the boundaries and be the best out of all the smartphones. It is artsy, and we all love it.
Huawei Mate X display can fold into three different outlines
The first Huawei Mate X display fold is as an 8-inch tablet mode – like a perfect square, that has an 8:7.1 aspect ratio, and, 2,480 x 2,200, as regarding the resolution.
When the device folds over, you will get two screens. The first one has 6.6-inches, with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and resolution of 2,480 x 1,148. The rear display comes with fewer inches because it has the cameras and the handle. This one is mostly used for selfies. It is a 6.38-inches of a screen that comes with a 25:9 aspect ratio and a 2,480 x 892 resolution.
When you fold the phone, it is about 11-mm thick, and it doesn’t have a tell-tale gap. It is flat, and when it snaps together, you get that satisfying sound of a click. It is curious to see if it stays well together, and not starting to unfold when put in a handbag, for example.
When it is unfolded, the Huawei Mate X has 5.4mm, which is actually thinner than the iPad Pro.
Huawei Mate X boasts three cameras on the back, similarly to Huawei P20 Pro
Across the side of the device is a handle. It comes with three cameras, and one of them is using Leica’s hardware. That comes with no surprise. The same system appeared on all of the devices from Huawei since they released Huawei P20 Pro. It might be weird if they would get left it out for such an innovative device.
Huawei Mate X would be the upcoming folding smartphone of the Chinese manufacturer.
