There is no doubt about it: we will get an Elder Scrolls VI game in the future, but we will just have to be patient and wait. Hopefully, Bethesda‘s team behind this project will take their time to give us a great game. We would rather wait a little longer than get a rushed game that is bound to disappoint. The Elder Scrolls VI: Release Date, News, Name
Bethesda Game Studios is working on The Elder Scrolls 6. We know it since we got that short teaser last summer at E3. When will it be released, the devs did not mention it, and they would do it when the game is close to being launched.
The developer should reveal more about TES VI at E3 2019. After last year’s tease, executive producer Todd Howard said in an interview that the game was still in pre-production, and it’s not yet in the playable phase. Considering the game is pretty big, it could still be in pre-production.
Bethesda is also working on a new RPG game – Starfield, so TES VI will be postponed, with Starfield being launched first. The first new RPG game in 25 years was a mysterious project that has been around for the past decade. Todd Howard also added about Starfield that it is playable, but “Elder Scrolls 6, not in that way yet.”
Moreover, it seems that the next Elder Scrolls didn’t have the required technology to be created, but now “it’s getting closer.” Matt Firor, the head of ZeniMax Online Studios, also explained that TES VI would not be available for the current generation of consoles – the PS4 and Xbox One. This means we will hear about TES after the PS5 and next-gen Xbox get launched.
The date of release might be even further away, considering the composer of the previous three games’ soundtracks has not yet been contacted by the devs.
Howard also added that the trailer they teased contains “some things there to pick apart, but we’ll let our fans do that.” Obviously, the fans didn’t need much to begin their speculations about the location, plot, title, and content in TES 6.
Bethesda Vice President Pete Hines also stated that the release of their games has an interval of 3-4 years of waiting. For example, if Starfield gets released in 2020, we should see TES VI in 2023-2024.
As for the title, we last talked about the subtitle Redfall, which is surrounded by that copyright issue. Will it eventually be used? What will the plot and location be like in The Elder Scrolls VI?
Hopefully, we will learn more about it at this year’s E3.
