Last year, in September, Ubisoft talked about the remastered version of Assassin’s Creed III. It seemed that it will be included for free and will take part in the season pass for the new title in the series called Odyssey. We recently found that the game will also be launched for PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One. However, there was no price mentioned for the PC version.
The remastered version includes Benedict Arnold, the Tyranny of King Washington and some hidden secrets. It will also come with the Assassin’s Creed III Liberation (remember when it was released for PS Vita?) reworked version. It’s on sale for $39.99 and it comes with 4K HDR support for Xbox One X, PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One. It could get to 1080p when it comes to the resolution upscaling. There will also be improvements for lighting, crafting, stealth and the models of the characters.
When will it make its appearance on Switch?
What we didn’t know before is that the game will also some for Switch, but that will happen on the 21st of May. There will also be a Japanese release, that will happen on the 24th of May. This version of Nintendo’s console supports HD Rumble, motion controls and it also has specific changes that are made to the touchscreen of the device.
Those of you who have Assassin’s Creed Odyssey season pass have been able to play since the 26th of March. The other had to wait a bit, but the game is here for Xbox One, Uplay and PlayStation 4. You are also able to get it via Steam.
It’s very curious that the publisher did not go for the Epic Games Store exclusive route, as it did with The Divison 2.
